MACHINES

The power point of this entry have two parts.

The first part is an explanation about the machines and you can find:

• What is a machine?
• What are machines use for?
• Forms of energy
• Simple machines (examples)
• Complex machines (examples) and their parts.

And in the second part, there are slides with exercises about this topic.

In some exercises, children have to chosse the correct answer and in others they have to write the missing word. 

You can realice these activities in groups using the white boards (vileda). It is very motivating for them!

ANIMALS CROSSWORD

In this entry you can find a crossword. The objective of this activity is that children write seven animals using the clues. It has been created using HotPotatoes (JCross).

This tool is supposed to be very funny for students.

The crossword allows students to improve their writing and reading skills.

LISTENING ACTIVITY

To improve students´ listening skills, I suggest you this activity created using HotPotatoes (JCloze)

It consists of listening a song ( You´re beautiful by James Blunt) and fill in the gaps to complete the letter.

I choose this song because it is easier for children to understand. 

You can use the activity with eleven-years-old children.

ENGLISH  TRADITIONS ORIENTEERING  RACE

FIRST AID

In this entry you can find an activity about first aid.

This topic is very useful for children to know because at school or out of it sometimes occur accidents and children can save lives.

This activity consists of a power point. Children have to see the slides, read them and answer the questions in their notebooks. 

Reading and writing skills are developed in the activity.
